Started playing when I was 6, the only girl on all boys team. When I was 14 I played for Columbus United, which is now Red Star, till I was 18. Played varsity at Hardaway High for 4 years, 3 of those years we won region. I was named best all around player freshman year. Played for Columbus State University their Inaugural season in 2004. Graduated from college in 2005 with ba in criminal justice.

Assisated coaching at Jordan 03-06.
Coached U19 girls rec one season and helped with U12 girls rec.
Have my D license. I attend Christ community church.

Personal Information:

Stephanie was born and raised in SLC, Utah. She has a younger sister, Jessica, and an older sister, Missy. She is the daughter of John and Liz Lowery. She graduated from Alta High School in 2007. Outside of soccer she likes to do anything outdoors, especially four wheeling, hiking, and snowboarding. She currently attends Columbus State University and graduates in May 2012. She is majoring in Exercise Science and would like a career involving sports performance.

Club Soccer:

Started playing club soccer at the age of 8. She played for three different club team in her time as a youth player. She was part of a team that won State Cup every year they participated in (U12-U16,U18-U19). Her team also participated in some of the biggest tournaments in the Western U.S.

High School:

Letter all four years in soccer for Alta High School. Coached by Lee Mitchell. In her four years, she was a four year 5A Region Champion and two 5A State Champion. She was the leading scorer her junior year and was also Deseret News Player of the Week. She was part of the 5A Second Team her Junior year as well. Her senior year, the team ended the season ranked second in the nation by the NSCAA High School Rankings.

College:

In 2007, Stephanie was recruited by the University of New Mexico. After 1 ½ years, she decided to transfer to Columbus State University. During her junior year at CSU she was awarded NSCAA All-America 2nd team, Daktronics All-American 1st team, Daktronics Southeast Player of the Year, and Peach Belt Player of the Year. She is currently playing her senior year this year.

Currently holds a USSF “D” license.

Mike Dempsey

Mike Dempsey is a USSF “D” license coach since 2009 and has been a Red Star boy’s coach for 4 years at the U11, U17, and U19 level. Prior to that Mike coached Recreation Soccer at Fort Lewis Washington, Fort Benning, and here in Columbus for 10 years.
Mike is currently coaching the Red Star boys U11 Academy team. He is also the St. Anne Pacelli Middle School, Junior Varsity, and Varsity boy’s soccer coach. Mike retired from the Army after 23 years as a Lieutenant Colonel in Special Forces.

Terry Cole

Playing Experience:

Played for the original Atlanta Concorde ’69 club team through middle school and high school. Won the Georgia State Championships in 1983 and 1985 and was Region finalist in 1985.

Member of the Georgia Olympic Development Team during high school and college playing career.
Received a soccer scholarship to Berry College where he played on the varsity team for four years.
Named to the 1990 NAIA All American Team in his senior season.

Mike Carmean

Coaching Career:

Coach Carmean has been active in developing coaches and players for 20 years in the bi-city area. He has coached many levels to include ODP, Recreational, Select, High School, Adult, Indoor and Academy Soccer Programs during that time. He previously was the Director of Coaching and Player Development for the River City Soccer Club.

Coach Carmean currently holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National “B” License, a USSF National Youth License, The NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma, The NSCAA National Youth Diploma and a NSCAA State Goalkeeper Diploma. He is a coaching instructor for the Alabama Youth Soccer Association (AYSA) and is also an Alabama Olympic Development Program (ODP) Staff Coach. He is currently the head coach for the CFC Red Star under 13 Athena A girls and the CFC U12 Boys.
